Hey Captains!

Featuring a new COLOUR version of the effect that many of you have been asking for.

Built on Resolume Wire version 7.22.5, Will run in Resolume Arena 7.22.0 or newer. Please check the version of Resolume you are using before purchasing.

This is a COMPILED patch, so you DO NOT need to own a Resolume Wire license in order to use it.

Editable Parameters are grouped into sub sections so you can hide the ones you don't need to see.

TEXT CONTROLS:

• STRING IN - Enter your text here
• TEXT THICK - Give your words some extra bold thickness
• TEXT SPACING - Increease or reduce the horizontal letter spacing to squeeze more words in, or fill out the line
• TEXT ALPHA - If you want to fade the text out, or just see the rings, this slider is for you

RINGS CONTROLS:

• ROTATION SPEED - Makes the spinning vortex go from slow to dizzy
• NUMBER RINGS - Increase the number of rings up to 32. THIS MAY CAUSE THE EFFECT TO SLOW DOWN. Use wisely
• TWIST - Squashes the rings slightly so they look more like flower petals than circles

MOVEMENT CONTROLS:

• MOVEMENT - sets the distance of the wobble, set the value low to be subtle, set it high to get crazy
• BEND AMOUNT - this bends the tunnel, a low value keeps the tunnel straight, a high value makes it wobbly
• INVERT BEND - this toggle changes it from a bend away from the centre, to a Double Bend when enabled
• MOVEMENT SPEED - This controls how fast the vortex tunnel lashes around in space

COLOUR CONTROLS:

• TINT COLOUR - This is where we introduce the colour, if you want the classic Black and White look, set this to WHITE
• SATURATION BOOST - Makes the colour pop more
• TINT HUE OFFSET - This allows for smooth gradients starting from the tint colour. Values go from -1 to 1. For no gradient set to 0

SHADOWS CONTROLS:

• DARKEN DEPTH - This makes the inner rings darker to give the effect of a long tunnel
• DROP SHADOW - This increases the size of the drop shadow.
• SHADOW COLOUR - This sets the colour of the drop shadow, the transparency of the shadow is controlled by the colour alpha value

RENDER RESOLUTION:

• RESOLUTION - This allows you to select different resolutions, e.g. 1024x1024px. This is here to allow you to raise or lower the resolution if your computer starts to get angry running this effect.
